Vallerie Muthoni brings out Taio and singer LE RU on her latest visuals

Without a shadow of doubt Vallerie Muthoni is exponentially owning the Kenyan music scene with such class and authority and she does not have any apologies for that whatsoever.

The fast rising sensation, Vallerie Muthoni who was born and raised in the United States of America has released the official music video for her latest record dubbed ‘Spicy SZN’ which features the founding member of Kenyan Pop group Camp Mulla, nominated for Best International Act: BET Award in 2012, Taio and LE RU who is also a fast rising singer-rapper gifted with incredible sweet and spicy vocals that allow her to poetically transcend genres.

Sticking to her audacity and witty onscreen performance exuded in her debut visual ‘Brown Suga’, the new clip sees Vallerie take her crew out of town on a sunny afternoon for a dance off and skating at the local turf. Effortlessly switching in between flows, her take is a bravado expression of the burgeoning career, musical maturity and grip on her increasing versatility.

TAIO is a founding member of Kenyan Pop group Camp Mulla, nominated for Best International Act: BET Award in 2012. Since then he has had the opportunity to perform at live festivals and shows across the globe such 's MTV Africa All Stars, SXSW (Austin TX) and Yale Africa Salon as part of the collective Cosmic Homies.

Speaking about the video ahead of release she said, “The jam is the ultimate feel-good summer tune. From the dancers and skaters to friends and family having a good time, adding, “‘Spicy SZN’ is warrant to do whatever makes you happy, be it securing a bag or sweating it out on the dance floor”.

The video was shot by CJ Pixels and co-directed by Vallerie and cinematographer Natasha Ayoo.

Debuting on the scene with an 8-track EP ‘dubbed ‘Wavey Soul’ in 2018, the singer-rapper has steadily closed ranks while gracing majors shows and sharing stages with some of the continent’s best including Burnaboy, Kwesta, Blinky Bill, Muthoni Drama Queen and Shekhinah. Her onstage charisma and bold experimentation with different sounds has birthed a meteoric rise of a destined superstar.
