The Supreme Court of Kenya has made this a very bad day for NASA and its supporters. First of all the rally that they wanted to have today at Uhuru Park, was canceled. Then the Supreme Court of Kenya has come out to adjourn the case citing a lack of quorum.

The Supreme Court has failed to determine the petition seeking to postpone the repeat presidential elections as only two judges were available. Addressing the court, Chief Justice David Maraga said that they could not form a quorum and thus they could not hear the case accordingly.

The C.J said:

“As the two of us cannot form a quorum, this matter cannot be heard accordingly this morning,”

The Supreme Court is made up of seven judges and at least five judges have to be present for the court to have a quorum to hear a case. Manze, this is really sad. A crucial case that can determine the future course of this country and the judges fail to appear! Even if this is a holiday, they can make a sacrifice as the rest of Kenyans regularly do if they have to. But what do I know anyway?
