“If LGBTQ groups are allowed to be registered, terrorist groups should also be registered” – Daddy Owen

Gospel singer Daddy Owen has faulted Supreme Court’s ruling insisting that homosexual groups should not be registered in Kenya.

Daddy Owen was reacting to the Supreme Court ruling that homosexuals in Kenya have the right to associate and that the decision of the Kenya Non-Governmental Organizations Board to prevent LGBTQ+ from forming recognized groups was unconstitutional.

Three judges in the five-judge bench ruled that community members have a right to associate even though the law considers same-sex marriages illegal. Hence, the refusal to register them was discriminatory and contravened the law.

The court said that despite homosexuality being outlawed in Kenya, LGBTQ members still have the right to associate.

However, Justices Mohamed Ibrahim and William Ouko dissented and held a firm stance that the law was clear on the illegality of gays and lesbians.

Following the Supreme Court ruling sparked anger among many Kenyans including Daddy Owen who took to social media to express his frustration.

The gospel singer said that if homosexual groups are allowed to be registered in Kenya then terrorists groups too should be allowed to be registered in the country.

“LGBTQ should NOT be allowed in KENYA! The courts are here to serve and protect our culture, society and customs! If these NGOs are allowed to register in Kenya then we should allow outlawed groups such as TERRORISTS and BANDITS to be registered! We SHOULDN’T be ths desperate for VISAS!

“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” LEVITICUS 18:22 #NoToLGBTQinKENYA,” Daddy Owen.
