Veteran rapper DNA has advised Colonel Mustafa not to be ashamed of working as a construction worker after falling from grace to grass.

DNA came out to cheer on Colonel Mustafa after a job-shaming video went viral as trolls poked fun at the onetime Kenya’s most sought-after rapper who ended up working at a construction site.

“Colonel Mustapha God damn ana piga mjengo. I’m proud of you bro. I am so proud of you because unlike many others have understood the program. Say no to status games in 2023 and do whatever it takes to fix your life,” DNA said in a TikTok video.

The ‘Banjuka’ hit maker further stressed that the attempt to shame men for their jobs was wrong.

“Kwanza ujue marafiki ni nani. And also as a man, let me talk to the guys, you want friends, you don’t want wellwishers, hautaki watu wanafikiria tuu give me give me give em,” DNA said about seeking financial help from the public or friends.

“Keep your respect by paying for rent on this earth. I know it gets hard. I’m not saying tusisaidiwe, sawa, but take charge and fix your life, that’s how I feel,” DNA added.

DNA further prayed for Colonel Mustafa’s mother whose sickness is said to have drained the rapper’s resources.

“Colonel my brother watu wako kwa fence, they are saying ni kiki, stori si kiki. At the end of the day bro if these things that are being said are true I wish you well my brother. I pray for you and your family and your mum. At the end bro, all will be well,” DNA said.

Mustafa revealed that he was forced to work as a construction worker because his mother was diagnosed with cancer and her treatment was very expensive.

The veteran rapper disclosed that his mother is suffering from lymphoma cancer.
