DJ Joe Mfalme finds a new home hours after quitting Capital FM

DJ Joe Mfalme is a brand name that echoes in all corners of Nairobi if not Kenya.

This came to be true after DJ Joe Mfalme found a new home hours after he announced that he won’t be under Capital FM where he has been the deejay for 12 long years.

The deejay who came to Nairobi all the way from Meru with a dream to be an entertainer, a deejay like no other has finally landed in Homeboyz Radio.

DJ Joe Mfalme didn’t share any exclusive statement after joining Homeboyz Radio. He was actually very subtle about it.

DJ Joe Mfalme real name Joseph Mwenda was welcomed with open arms by Homeboyz Radio with the Programmes Controller, Shaffie Weru being present when the deejay was signing his new contract with Homeboyz Radio.

Prior to Shaffie Weru joining Homeboyz Radio back in June 2019, Weru used to work at Kiss FM for 14 years.

“He will be able to work with the team to improve our programming, work on creative ideas with the team to bring out the culture of hip hop in everything we do.

We gave him a warm welcome, and look forward to an improved station sound and programming to make HBR the number one Hip Hop Radio Station in Kenya,” general manager Somoina Kimojino said when Shaffie Weru joined the team.

The company, owned by Michael Rabar who is the brother of Amina Abdi Rabar’s husband, John Rabar, who as we all know is a very close friend to DJ Joe Mfalme.

The family-owned company has its founder and Chief Executive Officer Mike Rabar owning a stake of 56.35% while Rose Rabar owns a 43.62% stake and the rest is owned by John Rabar.
