Amina Abdi Rabar has opened up rather openly about her being insecure with her body after she gave birth to her adoring son.

Amina Abdi confessed to feeling the pressure of looking some certain way especially if you are a mother and decided to wear a belt after learning about the same on the Keeping Up With the Kardashians Show.

“There is the pressure that you put on yourself as a mom which needs to stop, I remember when I just gave birth, and I didn’t want to look like that, I got this belt that I was wearing, I heard about it when I was watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” she said.

The TV and Radio personality confessed to passing out one certain morning from wearing the belt religiously without relent just to look a certain way in the eyes of the society. Looking back at the situation, she says it was worth it at all.

“I was wearing it 24/7 and this one morning I fainted and I was rushed to hospital I couldn’t breathe. They found out and I told my husband not to tell my mum. People walk around with this belt and you can’t breathe, all for what?” she added.

Speaking about motherhood for the first time, Amina Abdi opened up about not getting prepared enough about the experience that comes with motherhood.

She actually thought it was an easy, amazing job but nobody gave her a heads-up about all the tantrums that they throw at you come with raising a child.

She stressed the importance of mothers telling women who want to become mothers how hectic and hard it can be despite having nannies and/or making a lot of money, the bottom line is that raising a kid is that it is hard.

“For me, I thought it was because that was my first child, I was like I didn’t know anything.

It was so painful, people lie they just show you this beautiful amazing life, all these planned photoshoots when the baby is not crying and throwing themselves on the floor, people just show you a very different side of it.” she said in part.

“People just need to tell you it’s so different, and it doesn’t matter how much money you have or you can get ten nannies, the whole process whether you gave birth or its adoption is a whole different transition to how you used to live.

Your body is changing, you are hormonal all the time, you are breastfeeding, and it’s not enough, it’s a lot, and the people who are telling you they are not stressed, they are lying.” she went on.

This is the very first time Amina Abdi Rabar has opened up about motherhood in excruciating detail.
