Pitson finally undergoes throat surgery two months after he announced music hiatus

In early August this year, Gospel singer Peterson Githinji popularly known as Pitson announced that he was taking a two month break from music because of health complications.

Pitson was forced to take a break from music on doctor’s advice after damaging his throat. Doctors told the singer that he had been overworking his throat and as such advised him to take a two month music hiatus.

Pitson was ultimately forced to undergo throat surgery after his condition failed to improve. The award-winning gospel singer on Monday October 14th announced that he went under the knife at Nairobi Hospital.

He shared photos of himself recuperating at the hospital, and also posted a picture of a microscopic nodule that had stuck in his vocal cord for three months.

“This is the microscopic nodule that had stuck in my vocal cord for 3 months. By the grace of God doctors were able to get it out. Glory to God!,” wrote Pitson.

Adding that;

Dr. Carol Mwai Doctor In charge of post hospital recovery. Asanteni sana kwa maombi. Hoping to sing again soon.”
