Gospel singer Peterson Githinji popularly known as Pitson will not be performing for a couple of months because of health complications.

Pitson was forced to take a break from music on doctor’s advice after damaging his throat. Doctors told the singer that he had been overworking his throat and as such advised him to take a two month music hiatus.

“I went to see a doctor after I was unable to sing and they said I am not going to sing for the next two months because my voice is damaged,” said Pitson during an interview.

This is bad news for Pitson whose livelihood depends on his music. The ‘Lingala Ya Yesu’ hit maker is a married man with two children.

“It is really difficult for me because singing is what I do for a living, and staying away from the studio sounds very boring to me,” said Pitson.
