Kimbo area, Ruiru,Police has unmasked what can be termed as a time bomb waiting to explode if it was not discovered in time.
They have unearthed an unlicensed gas filling station in a residential area near Recce Squad headquarters in Juja, Kiambu County,
The officers unearthed the illegal multi-million shilling business that had been going on unnoticed at Kimbo area in Ruiru Constituency.
During the raid, workers in the compound were found filling liquid petrol gas into a large haul of cooking gas cylinders, drawing it from a truck with a three-tonne container.
Following the incident, officers who conducted the ambush managed to nab the driver of the truck and the owner of the home where the business is said to have been running for more than a year.
The officers also managed to confiscate more than 100 cylinders which were ready for shipment to various locations in Nairobi.
