I know it’s almost cliche that most successful rappers and entertainers are usually from nothing, well, Zzero Sufuri is straight from the gutter, quite literally.

Zzero Sufuri came straight from nothing, literally nothing and even one time, he was selling dogs for survival.

Sitting down with Genge musician, Nonini on his podcast show, Zzero Sufuri revealed that his first payday was KShs. 30,000 which at the moment was the biggest payday he’s ever earned in one day.

“My first show was in Kangemi, I was paid KShs. 30,000,” Zzero Sufuri opened up to Nonini on the Rhymes Na Nonini podcast, “that was the first time I experienced real fan love, the love was real”.

To some netizens, this sum might be small to them according to their stature but it was a huge win for Zzero Sufuri who prior to landing his first ever gig, that paid him the first life-changing performance fee that he used half of it to get his first house.

“I didn’t even have a place to stay when I got paid the KShs. 30,000.” Zzero Sufuri said. “I spent KShs. Kshs. 8,000 to pay for a house deposit and Kshs. 8,000 for first-month house rent. It was a double room.”

“I didn’t even have anything to enter my new house with, I didn’t even have a mattress, even a sufuria,” he added.

I am a Pan-Afrikanist to the core and love to let the world know what they are missing in Africa. I might do that through music and some interesting posts from time to time so please bare with me.

I will always be real though, that's a guarantee.
