Zzero Sufuri explains why he won’t have tattoos

Zzero Sufuri has finally explained why he hasn’t been spotted having any tattoos on his body even though tattoos is the fast-growing trend, especially from artistes today.

Zzero Sufuri real name Jeremiah Chege is a son of a pastor and he was raised through the Bible’s way of teaching by his parents.

According to the ‘Zimenishika’ hitmaker who recorded the song as a freestyle without any intentions of seeing it blow up opened up to Nonini in an exclusive interview on his YouTube show dubbed Rhymes Za Nonini.

Zzero Sufuri sat down with the Genge legend and gave out his reason/s why you won’t be able to spot him rocking any tattoo anytime soon.

According to Zzero Sufuri, he won’t be able to go to heaven if he gets to have any tattoo.

The Bible actually condemns the act of tattooing from the get-go and it’s strict and thorough about the warning.

“I don’t have any tattoos because I feel that if I get one, I won’t go to heaven,” said the award-winning rapper, adding that the belief was cemented by teachings from his father who’s a preacher.

The verse in the Bible that most Christians make reference to is Leviticus 19:28, which says,” You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the Lord.”

Zzero Sufuri also opened up about how his song ‘Zimenishika’ that brought him forth into the mainstream music industry came about.

“That video ilikuwa tu clip ya kujibamba. It was recorded in 2016 and I had even forgotten all about it before it went viral three years later in 2019.” the Dagoretti based artiste said, adding that he didn’t even own a phone back then when the ‘Zimenishika’ freestyle blew up.

“I heard that some people were looking for me but I didn’t even have a phone, I played my part halafu God akasababisha (made it happen).” he added.
