The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, Dr. William Samoei Ruto responded to award-winning rapper Khaligraph Jones on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

Ruto was responding to Khaligraph Jones’ plea to him when the rapper requested him to intervene on behalf of all Kenyans who are currently under heel of employment and lack of food.

The DP responded to the rapper through his official Instagram handle written in sheng saying that he understands the pain of all Kenyans who are going to bed hungry stressing that he’s more than ready and willing to help the less fortunate in the country.

“Bazuu Khaligraph, nimepata message yako bro. Ahsante. Mimi najua the pain of sleeping hungry.(Khaligraph, I have received your message brother. Thank you. I know the pain of sleeping hungry)” the statement read in part.

DP Ruto is more than ready and willing to help out the less fortunate Kenyans as a personal initiative while complementing on the government programmes in place to aid on the same, he’s also ready to ask his friends to personally chip in where they can to help out Kenyans who are in need during these trying times of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“As a personal initiative, niko ready kusaidia as we complement government programmes on the same. I will also mobilize my friends to get some more tusaidie(As a personal initiative, I’m ready to help as we complement government programmes on the same. I will also mobilize my friends to get some more tusaidie)” the statement read on.

In a subtle way, Deputy President William Ruto invited Khaligraph Jones together with other artistes and members of the creative industry in the country over to his place in Karen so that they can collectively brainstorm on the best way forward together.

“Sasa tafadhali kama uko na time kidogo on your schedule,

  1. Talk to fellow artistes and others on how mtasaidia kupeana food.
  2. Mkipata time ingine kidogo, mjipange we share ideas on how to help the creative industry. Najua kuna talent mingi tu sana. Mungu awabariki.” the statement read.” the statement concluded.

This was a response of Khaligraph Jones after the AFRIMA, AFRIMMA, and Soundcity MVP Awards winner took to social media to address both the ODM party leader Raila Odinga, and Deputy President William Ruto to help change the current situation in Kenya.

“If you help us in this situation, I will campaign for you for free in the upcoming election,” the rapper told Ruto through his social media platforms.

He also wrote to Raila Odinga.

“Baba yawa, kitambo ulikua unatutetea sana, sai Kenya tunaangamizwa umenyamaza. Fanya ile kitu uone vile utaingia State House haraka, wacha kunyamaza ivo. (There was a time you fought for Kenyans rights but now we are suffering and you are silent. Intervene and see how fast you will become president),” he wrote the open letter directly to ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

Khaligraph Jones was later on forced to make it clear with his post about the two political bigwigs in Kenya at the moment through a rejoinder he wrote on social media.

He said that he didn’t, in any way endorse either of the two politicians pointing out that the intentions of the post were to persuade them to unlock the country that has been under strict curfew guidelines.

“Yesterday I put up two posts requesting the two top candidates of the oncoming elections to assist with the current state of the country.

While am no politician, the agenda of my posts are simple and clear, we just want the country to be unlocked because Kenyans are really suffering,” the self-proclaimed OG said.

I am a Pan-Afrikanist to the core and love to let the world know what they are missing in Africa. I might do that through music and some interesting posts from time to time so please bare with me.

I will always be real though, that's a guarantee.
