Willy Paul came under criticism for ‘overcharging’ clients who are hiring his pimped matatu that he recently launched.

The singer was forced to explain why he is charging Ksh20,000 to hire out his matatu within Nairobi for 24 hours.

“20k within Nairobi kwani inapepea?” A fan commented on Willy Paul’s post.

To which he replied;

“Ukipanda utaelewa mbona mkubwa (When you get onboard you will understand)”.

He acquired a secondhand matatu and pimped its interior and exterior to give it a more appealing look with different murals of himself drawn on it.

Bonfire Adventures CEO Simon Kabu revealed that he used to own the matatu that Willy Paul pimped.

The controversial singer publicly unveiled his pimped matatu in a ceremony that saw him cut a ribbon in the presence of bloggers who covered the event.

“My new business. To God be the Glory.. its open for hire.. classy thing fam.. contact @saldido_international for hire,” Willy Paul captioned photos of his pimped van.

Willy Paul further disclosed how much he charges to hire his pimped matatu, revealing that he charges Ksh20,000 a day for customers wanting to use his van within Nairobi and Ksh30,000 for use outside the capital city.

“Good morning good people here’s my new business. SALDIDO van #matyapozze is available for hire incase you want to experience sweetness.. you got a party? Send off?
