UDA-nominated senator Karen Nyamu came out to offer financial assistance to rapper Colonel Mustafa after he was seen working at a construction site.
Veteran rapper Colonel Mustapha set tongues wagging after he was seen working at a construction site as mtu wa mkono (handyman).
The rapper has been off the grid for over a year only making headlines after a video of him working at a building construction site went viral.
The video shows Colonel Mustapha mixing concrete and carrying building blocks to where they were being used to construct the building’s wall.
The rapper later came out to reveal that he was reduced to working as a construction worker because his mother was diagnosed with cancer and her treatment drained his pockets.
Karen Nyamu empathized with the rapper on learning about his situation. She said that Mustafa was her longtime friend.
The nominated senator revealed that she immediately sent a team to visit Mustafa’s ailing mother on learning about her condition.
The mother of three added that she offered her personal support to Mustafa’s mother.
“Mustapha is an old friend of mine and seeing him in that state shocked me too. In my absense my team visited Mustapha’s ailing mom and offered my personal support,” Karen Nyamu wrote.
Karen Nyamu further appealed to her fans to contribute anything to cater for the treatment of Mustafa’s mom.
“This is an appeal to his fans who are willing to support the family in the smallest way you can na mbarikiwe,” she added.
