Detectives from the Kasarani police station are searching for Pamela Njambi who stabbed her ex-boyfriend, a police officer based at the Zimmerman police station, before running into darkness.

After a failed attempt at reconciliation that lasted for approximately 30 minutes, the woman, known as Pamela Njambi, 30, attacked the officer as he was leaving her residence Friday night. The cop claimed that his ex-girlfriend had invited him over to her house in an effort to reignite the dying flames of their once-happy relationship.

The cop, however, declined the advances and told his ex-lover Pamela Njambi that their romance had ended and he had already gone on with his life. The 30-year-old woman who followed the officer discretely as he left her home didn’t seem to take this well. The woman approached the gate of the apartment and stabbed the cop before slipping away into the shadows.

After the event at 10 o’clock, the police corporal screamed loudly, “Uuuui Uuuuui!” Nisaidieni! Was heard in the area as the cop asked for help, and well-wishers came right away. They transported him to St. John’s hospital while he was bleeding heavily and gave him first assistance there before transferring him to a specialized facility within the city for additional care.

St. John’s Hospital is a private level 4 hospital situated in Githurai 45, off the Thika Road Superhighway, around 100 meters from Equity Bank.

As efforts to apprehend the attacker intensify, the cop who was stabbed in the abdomen is currently in stable condition.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations is asking couples to seek alternative dispute resolution methods, such as seeking the intervention of family members, counselors, church leaders, etc. instead of committing crimes with potentially grave repercussions. This is due to the rise in knife attacks between couples.
