Wangechi is glad and happy to see her mural on a matatu

Sensational rapper Wangechi is more than happy after she finally got to see her mural in a plighting matatu and sharing the same on social media.

The talented rapper who has earned her stripes in the Kenyan music scene is glad to finally claim that she has seen her mural drawn in a matatu which is somewhat a privilege and honor among the Kenyan celebrities and musicians because that shows that there’s genuine love for you as a creative person in a super competitive industry which cannot be taken for granted.

Some notable musicians, politicians, celebrities and even media personalities have had their murals drawn in plighting matatus in Nairobi which they are always appreciative of when they get to learn about it, and now since the ‘Sana Sana’ hitmaker has finally seen her mural drawn in a matatu, she’s ecstatic.

Wangechi has joined people like Miguna Miguna, Raila Odinga, Sauti Sol, Wakadinali, Octopizzo, Khaligraph Jones, Nyashinski, Azziad Nasenya, Mbogi Genje, Bahati, Willy Paul, among many other celebrities and people of note who have seen their murals drawn in a matatu and she’s not taking it for granted one bit.

Taking to social media, she had something to say as humbly as she could as she introduced new music on the way which is a piece of welcomed news to her fans and fans of hip hop music in Kenya.

“Finally made it to the “I’ve seen my face on a matatu” artist group. Small sign from God that I’m meant to occupy that space again,” she shared on social media in part.

The last time Wangechi released a song was three years ago in February of 2019 when she dropped the official music video for her hit song dubbed ‘Sana Sana’ that features one-third member of the formidable rap group Wakadinali, Scar.

Her promise of releasing new music that she announced using the hashtag “#newmusicontheway” is something to look forward to.

The soft-spoken rapper didn’t elaborate on what she’s planning on releasing on her social media post, she didn’t specify if it will be a studio project; an EP or an album or a single, whichever it is, her fans cannot wait for her release new project, it’s about time she released a project because three years is a long time for waiting for her to release new, fresh materials for her loyal fanbase which is almost everybody who loves Kenyan rap music.
