By now Domani Munga and Scar doesn’t need to proof to anybody that they are truly rap emcees, am sure even KRS-One would give them a nod of rap’s satisfaction if he gets to hear them spit on the microphone.
Wakadinali has the ability to do hardcore hip hop, which they prevail at actually and also they can easily switch it up real quick to do commercial music at such unfathomable way that every move they are doing now are unprecedented and enticing and giving these other rappers a run for their money, both figuratively and literally.
Their new cypher which was released officially on 29th September dubbed ‘The Rong Cypher’ just made a mark in the Kenyan rap scene, period.
Wakadinali are currently calling the shots in the music rap industry having owned the underground scene for years bringing back the good ole days of Bun B and Pimp C of the UGK, only better and locally grown.
After Khaligraph Jones’ successful release of his third installment of ‘Khali Cartel’, Wakadinali came forward with their own cypher and it’s out of this world, lyrically-pregnant which gave birth on the record from start to finish.
Right now Wakadinali are representing the entire eastlands area neighborhood in Nairobi through their rap music since most of their records are done in Sheng, the predominant slang in Kenya(mostly in Nairobi).
The best part of it all is that the entire eastlands area from Umoja, Dagoretti, Kariobangi, Majengo, Baba Dogo, Mathare North, Mathare, Buru Buru, Kibera, and the entire country in whole are behind them, especially the youth.
You have to listen to the entire ‘The Rong Cypher’ and then listen to it for the second time, then listen to it the third time. You will understand how lyrically rich and shrewd Wakadinali really are, Wakadinali are clearly on the league of their own, maybe even ahead of their time.
