When a photo of Vivian surfaced online with her body swollen all over, many people were quick to conclude she was a victim of domestic violence. It was thought that her husband Sam West had battered her.
Vivian has now come out to openly address the issue of her body swelling. Speaking to YouTuber Mungai Eve, she said the illness kept showing up when she was struggling with her music career.
The chronic allergies left her face, lips, and throat swollen. The persistence of swellings made Vivian think she had been bewitched.
“During this period, I was trying to understand myself. Being in the industry for so long, you get to hear a lot of things. I was getting confused due to the different things people kept telling me. I think my mind was unwell, so my body started manifesting that illness,” said Vivian.
Vivian said the allergy has since gone. She however noted that the experience taught her a lesson about life that made her do things differently.
“I think it was a good thing coz if my body did not become sick, maybe I would have continued doing my things. It then broke out in swelling. I hope it won’t come back. I know myself better. It has helped me overcome that challenge and I hope God will keep me well and I will not face such an illness again.”
