Legendary rally driver Asad Khan famously known as ‘Kalulu’ has been buried at Kariakor Muslim Cemetery, in Nairobi, according to Islam ways.

The burial was attended by many friends, fans and family.

In Islam, Muslims are buried as soon as they pass on, and at the most convenient location, although there are a few occasions where this can be overlooked.

Islamic laws dictate that Muslims are buried and not cremated.

They should not be kept for days after death, that’s why the burial takes place almost immediately.

They are also not supposed to be embalmed.

Women are not allowed at the grave site, on the funeral day.

If the decease owed someone, the debt is passed on to the closest family members.

Asad Khan’s life was lost despite all efforts to rescue it. It’s reported that he died gruesomely from excess bleeding.

After days in HDU at Avenue Hospital,  his vital organs stopped working; his brother Adil Khan told the Nation in an interview published today.

Through regular dialysis, his kidneys had managed to hold out until last evening when he sadly and unfortunately breathed his last.

Focus has now shifts to the investigating team to finally reveal what they’ve found out happened before he was fatally injured and rushed to hospital; after the alleged quarrel with his girlfriend and also rally driver Maxine Wahome.

Journalist, sports editor, and content creator Saddique Shaban, attended the burial procession and has shared photos and video of how the funeral went.

Our deepest condolences to family, friends and fans.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
