ProKid real name Linda Mkhize is dead. The multi-talented hip-hop superstar who was 37 years of age when he died passed in Johannesburg CBD on Wednesday after he suffered a severe seizure while visiting a friend in Johannesburg.
He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics a few minutes after 8pm.
ProKid’s family confirmed the news in a statement on Thursday.
“The legendary SA hip-hop artiste affectionately known as ProKid … passed away on Wednesday. He suffered a severe seizure attack while visiting friends and paramedics were called in to assist. They did their best to revive him to no avail and called his time of death at 8.38pm,” read part of the statement.
Among many people who were shocked with the news of ProKid was his friend and former manager, Mpho Motsoaledi said pro had a good and pure heart who loved music, appreciated his fans regardless
