Raila Odinga opened up candidly about his relationship with Mt. Kenya where he stressed categorically that he doesn’t have any issues with Kikuyus, not even one.
Speaking on August 27 at his Karen home with Kameme TV, Kameme FM, Inooro, and Gukena FM stations for a 2-hour long interview, the ODM Party leader is very confident and convinced that he’s going to win the Mt. Kenya votes in the upcoming 2022 general elections in his presidential bid.
Odinga thwarted claims of being hated in the Mt. Kenya region saying that Mt. Kenya is like his second home claiming that the allegations of him being hated in the region are propaganda that was started by the late former President Daniel Arap Moi’s regime in the 1980s when he was arrested for trying to overthrow the government in 1982.
“I have never wronged the region, it is the propagations which started during the Nyayo-era when I went against the regime. They started spreading propaganda that I was a dangerous person,” Raila Odinga said.
