Jimmy Wanjigi is confident enough to know that he will beat his close friend of many years and the Party leader of ODM party Raila Odinga at the upcoming ODM Primaries.

Jimmy Wanjigi who is a very successful businessman wants to become the next and fifth President of Kenya, he believes he’s got what it takes to take Kenya to the next level that prior leaders have failed to do. He intends to run under the ODM Party’s banner.

The Presidential aspirant is ready to beat his party leader Raila Odinga at the primaries saying that Raila Odinga isn’t guaranteed a Presidential ticket in ODM because ODM is not Raila Odinga’s personal party.

Speaking on Sunday at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, Ndarugu in Nakuru Town West, Jimmy Wanjigi said that he’s going to beat Raila Odinga, his good friend at the nominations as it is time for a new crop of leaders, not recycled, and tired leaders.

“ODM is a national party that was started by many people among them President Uhuru Kenyatta, Deputy President William Ruto, and Wiper Party leader, Kalonzo Musyoka among others, and not Odinga’s personal outfit,” he said in part.

He went further to add, “Odinga is my good friend and I want to tell him now that I will beat him at the nominations, it is time for a new crop of leaders”.

Wanjigi is convinced that Kenya needs a third liberation of leaders after the first and the second failed to take Kenya to where it’s supposed to be as opposed to where it is now. He cites impunity, corruption as some of the myriad of challenges that have stagnated economic growth.

“Kenya had its first liberation during colonization and those leaders had their times of 30 years, the second liberation started in 1992 and that too has taken another phase of 30 years and the people who led the nation for that period have nothing to offer.

The country has faced a myriad of challenges among them impunity and corruption which have stagnated economic growth,” Wanjigi added.

Jimmy Wanjigi sees himself changing the country for the better once he becomes the next President of the Republic of Kenya once he beats Raila Odinga at the Party’s primaries.
