Renowned Bongo Flava artist Ommy Dimpoz has announced a generous gift of 5 million Tanzanian shillings to his colleague Marioo, following Marioo’s significant milestone of impregnating Paula, thus making veteran actress Frida Kajala Masanja a grandmother-to-be.
During Marioo and Paula’s pregnancy celebration event, Ommy Dimpoz, who was among the invited guests, congratulated Marioo for his relationship with Paula and humorously remarked that this action automatically makes Kajala the future grandmother of Marioo’s child.
Dimpoz praised Marioo for being the first young Tanzanian man to take the initiative to make Kajala soon expect a grandchild.
“Lakini pia Bwana Omari [Marioo], mimi nakusifu sana unajua. Wewe mtoto kiboko, kwa sababu wewe ndio umekuwa Mtanzania wa kwanza kumfanya Kajala aitwe bibi. Sio mchezo ujue. Ukiachana na hilo pia ukamfanya P Funk Majani aitwe babu. Ndio hivyo tena limekuwa jambo la heri. Kutokana na hicho ulichokifanya, cha kumfanya Kajala tumuite bibi, mimi nakupa zawadi ya milioni 5,” Ommy Dimpoz expressed.
Marioo and Paula have been in a relationship for about a year, and recently announced that they are expecting their first child together.
Marioo began dating Paula after her previous relationship with artist Rayvanny ended.
Reports indicate that Marioo had already prepared a dowry of 100 million Tanzanian shillings for Paula, demonstrating his commitment to their relationship.
