Octopizzo is currently enjoying the success of one of his best studio projects ever which happens to be his seventh studio album dubbed ‘Lamu Nights’.

The album is so unique so much so that everybody from across the world is streaming it and can’t seem to get enough of it as we know it.

As it is right now, the hip hop studio album is at the number 1 spot in the R&B genre on Apple Music for one month straight without relenting.

Your favorite African rapper can’t say that about their studio projects.

Octopizzo is just in a league of his own, he’s now competing with his own success because his music is on a pedestal plus it’s true, his latest studio album ‘Lamu Nights’ is the upper echelon in the Kenyan music industry as we know it today.

Taking to social media, Octopizzo who promised the hip hop universe that he’s only getting started putting out great, quality music just reminded his fans, haters, doubters, and believers that ‘Lamu Nights’ is one of the best studio projects to ever come from Kenya ever since Kenya started putting out music more than half a century ago.

Lamu Nights studio album success

In one month alone, the ‘Lamu Nights’ studio album has had over 4 million streams on YouTube alone, 3 million streams on Audiomack, 12 million cumulative streams across all DSPs since he dropped the project, and of course, it is at the number one spot on Apple Music DSP for one month since release.

If anything, this is an unprecedented fete for Octopizzo and the Kenyan music industry.

For the longest time, it has been foreign studio projects that usually take the lead in streaming numbers on your favorite DSPs but Octopizzo came around and flipped that around and owned the streaming numbers in Kenya across all digital streaming platforms. If that isn’t impressive, then I don’t know what is.

“LAMU NIGHTs VIBES šŸŒ¹
Number 1 R&B Album on @applemusic one month Straight!
On to 5 million streams on @spotify.
4 millions streams on @youtube.
3 millions streams on @audiomack
12 millions streams in a month on all streaming platforms.

#LamuNights is the Upper echelon of Kenyan music today & the best album in Kenya & Africa at large.

Iā€™m just getting started.

Thank you all āœØšŸ¤˜šŸ¾& keep streaming & sharing,” Octopizzo shared on social media.

We truly deserve to have a few bars rapped over the success of ‘Lamu Nights’ studio album by the Kibera-born and bred rapper or from a fellow rapper paying homage to him. I’d prefer the latter over the former because he deserves all the accolades you can give him, he truly does.

Octopizzo clearly deserves his flowers today for everything he’s doing in and for the music industry, with all genres in consideration. Why don’t y’all give it to him while he’s still here to share his greatness with us?

I love everybody who loves everybody, somebody got to love somebody at some point.
Music is something that comes natural to everybody and it's a language that everybody can understand, I understand it and that's why I speak it
fluently, do you.
