Octopizzo just proved that he won’t and probably can’t keep quiet when his beloved Kibra is the main topic of a conversation.

The celebrated rapper who helped take the Kenyan hip hop scene international a couple of years ago took his time to hit back at former State House Digital Director Dennis Itumbi over his Kibra statements.

Yesterday, Dennis Itumbi took to Twitter and sent out a tweet about alleged goons from Kibra getting used by politicians on a somewhat covert mission to burn wheelbarrows and mkokoteni in Githurai ahead of ODM’s party leader, Raila Odinga’s visit to the area.

“GOONS being reportedly ferried from Kibra to go burn wheelbarrow and mkokoteni in Githurai – instructions are that they should chant the Youth do not want Wheelbarrows. They want BBI. Too obvious a script good people… theatrics and crude poetry are Lying to yourself” Dennis Itumbi’s tweet read.

Octopizzo didn’t take Itumbi’s words lightly and responded to his claims on the social media platform.

“Sonko said these were all your tactics and then later put it on opposition.. @OleItumbi acha ujinga.

Kindly enlighten us who’s the deep state? coz this country is governed by a president & Vice President who formed a government together which we call the state; you represent one of them. So tuchanue mtuangu @OleItumbi” Octopizzo challenged Itumbi.

The rapper went on ahead to add;

“#Governance is the way rules, norms & actions are structured, sustained, regulated & held accountable. The degree of formality depends on the internal rules of a given organization &, externally, with its business partners. Prez & Deputy are the head of the so-called #deepstate”

The rapper went on record to remind one of his fans about his qualifications in knowing and understanding politics in the government and calling it out for what it is.

“Ni**a! I think I need to remind you that I went to UPenn then Harvard Kennedy and actually finished my studies don’t let them Sheng rap get you confused. I only talk about things that I have vast knowledge about on theory & practice. Is the Don!” he explained himself.

Octopizzo is sick and tired of Kibra youth getting entangled with anything and/or everything bad about politics and that’s why he decided to speak out this time calling out Dennis Itumbi himself on the same.

Octopizzo bitterly hits out at Kenyans for overwhelmingly supporting Diamond at the expense of Otile Brown

“Kibra youths get blamed, used & branded as goons all the time during political issues, this has made it hard for those non-goons to even get jobs around the country Coz of the stereotypical myths from politicians & society. This [expletive]needs to STOP!!

We actually graduates & smarter than some of these niggaz; We can’t be mere consumers of “good” governance, we must be participants; we must be co-creators. Public servants should be focused on serving the public not any special interest group.

When you are Raised in places like Kibra, Mathare, Mukuru, Koch, Ongwaro you Always have to work twice as hard,to be half as good & get half as much as they have.

There are children playing in the streets who could solve some of my top problems in physics, but we call the goons 😢” concluded Octopizzo.

Octopizzo who is a pro-marijuana Kenya is probably the first Kenyan rapper who is heavily invested in making sure Kibra is well taken care of and he already has foundations in place to help out the people and the place that made him who he is today.

Actually, Octopizzo is an advocate of changing the perception of Kibra not only in the country but across the globe and that’s something that he vowed he would be doing forever because Kibra is a place deep within his heart that he can’t live without.

Octopizzo was also the first Kenyan rapper to openly and proudly represent Kibra without any fear of a backlash when it wasn’t common back then, he was even one of the founders of YGB(Young Gifted and Black), and Chocolate City that had intentions of painting Kibra in a positive light rather than tarnishing it.

I am a Pan-Afrikanist to the core and love to let the world know what they are missing in Africa. I might do that through music and some interesting posts from time to time so please bare with me.

I will always be real though, that's a guarantee.
