Octopizzo: artiste can’t make the same music forever

Octopizzo believes that versatility for any and/or every musician today is key to become a successful artiste in the competitive industry.

The Kibera born and bred rapper opened up how his music usually changes with the times and how getting older has affected him positively in putting out new music.

The ‘Kanye’ hitmaker took to social media to break down how versatile he is a rapper since we’ve already established that he’s a talented rapper respected across the African region and beyond.

Octopizzo who also revealed that he was only a 19-year-old rapper when he released his controversial, timeless, hit record ‘Ivo Ivo Ivo’ that changed Kenya’s hip hop’s narrative as we know it today explained how he has evolved as an artiste in the music industry today.

“An artist is someone who has a passion for creating music. You can’t make the same music forever; I was 19 when I wrote IVO IVO.” Octopizzo said in part on social media.

Octopizzo went further to add that he has since evolved after releasing the hit record ‘Ivo Ivo Ivo’ and he’s evolved for the better which has seen him sore even higher in his music career as an upper-echelon rapper.

“Since then I’ve seen & experienced different things & evolved. Real fans notice your evolution. The rest just go with the hype.”
