Nyota Ndogo is fearing for her life following a robbery incident at her home in Voi,  Taita-Taveta County and an attempted hijacking.

The Coast-based singer was attacked by a gang of robbers who raided her home following a power outage that was experienced in her neighbourhood.

Nyota said the robbers ransacked her home and vandalized her  BMW and Volkswagen Touran during the incident.

“MY LIFE IS IN DANGER I have a special announcement for my fans. I am not happy, I am trying so hard to be happy in front of you. Last week in our neighborhood there was no electricity around 9pm but in the second street there was electricity in town.

“Also here in our neighborhood there are some houses that had power and some did not but we knew that in the morning. At about 2pm my neighbor called me and told me that there are people surrounding my house and the dogs were barking a lot but because of darkness we couldn’t see anything even when we looked outside.

“When we woke up to a new dawn, I found my VW car. The doors have been opened, the thieves have thrown away the things inside, meaning they have opened, open the food inside, shame on them, I don’t know what they were looking for. I went to check if the BMW was safe and I found metal marks on the door and then they had removed the key part as if they were trying to open it but they failed to go for the bonnet. They tried to open it with a metal and they have damaged the bonnet. It rings saying it is open and I have closed it. But I have been worried a lot, I can’t sleep, I don’t have any joy. All that is last week,” Nyota Ndogo narrated.

The singer stated that she believes her life is in danger because after the robbery at her home unknown people attempted hijacking her.

“Yesterday my mother came to visit me when I was about to drop her off at home at 4pm I told my neighbor Jay’s mother and she had a visitor let’s go and drop her off so that we can go back. When I was coming back, there was a car that appeared behind the FLY OVER entering SGR. It used bright lights for me and wanted me to stop and it wanted to enter the front so that it could block the road but I sped up and entered the SGR gate.

“The SGR police saw how we were being chased and ran to follow those guys because after I entered the police station the guys ran very fast and entered a certain ditch called near Kisakenyi.

“I HAVE STARTED TO BELIEVE THAT MY LIFE IS IN DANGER. It is like I am being watched and followed even during the day,” Nyota Ndogo said.
