Ngesh of the famed ‘Kaveve Kazoze’ hit song has fallen from grace to grass after just a short period of musical success.
The rapper blamed her current woes on unscrupulous promoters whom she claimed have benefitted from her hard work and short-lived success.
Ngesh and members of her Spider Clan music group opened up about how their music careers hit rock bottom while speaking during an interview that aired on Jalang’o TV on December 7, 2023.
The group said they have been reduced to job-hunting to survive.
“Maisha imekuwa ngumu because even some promoters came on board but nothing. We were even promised jobs, but see we even have our CVs here with us, we are job searching. Saa izi tuko chini mbaya,” Paul the manager said.
Banguz, Mosree, Ngesh, and Mguzu, also echoed the same sentiments.
“Tunabahasha hapa za kusaka job,” Paul added.
Ngesh, the most famous of the group, weighed in separately lamenting about their current economic situation.
“Hii story hainibambi..but…kujituma lazima,” she shared.
Ngesh has quit selling clothes in town explaining that since she rose to fame people assume she is rich and always ask her for money.
“When you meet people in the streets they say you have money and you can’t tell them you are broke. I stopped selling bags in town I quit mambo tuu mob. Kazi mi mingi, mashughuli zimekuwa mini,” she said.
Ngesh and Spider Clan members shot to fame in May 2023 when their breakout song ‘Kaveve Kazoze’ took over Kenya by a storm.
Spider Clan are Naivasha residents who grew up together. Even though ‘Kaveve Kazoze’ earned them fame, the group has struggled to released another hit song.
