Muthoni the Drummer Queen is once again making waves thanks to her new EP titled ‘Monsoon’ which is taking over by storm.

The three-track EP consists of of the songs ‘Consistency’, ‘Pomoni’ and ‘Bure’.

Drummer Queen’s new ‘Monsoon’ EP debuted on March 8, 2024, which happened to be International Women’s Day. This means that it was a strategic power move by the rapper turned successful entrepreneur.

The three songs in the rapper’s new EP are already topping charts on Spotify and other online music streaming platforms.

As it is at the moment, the three records ‘Pomoni’, ‘Consistency’, and ‘Bure’ have all been added on numerous playlists on Spotify.

Muthoni Drummer Queen also shared the artworks that makes it stand out from other studio projects.

Muthoni the Drummer Queen opened up about the her inspiration behind the EP while speaking during a recent interview.

She noted that her love for pop music was the driving force for her new three-track EP.

With a desire to infuse coastal Kiswahili elements into her work, Muthoni expertly blends diverse musical influences, from traditional kapuka rhythms to infectious Afrobeats.

Muthoni the Drummer Queen had been concentrating on parenting after giving birth to a bouncing baby boy in January 2022.

She disappeared from limelight and only came back after she delivered, revealing that she chose to keep that aspect of her life private.

“As a performer and all around creative, my entire life is a news item; it’s part of the package. So, I grab privacy where I can get it. That is why I keep certain aspects of my life private. The limelight also has really dark side to it and though I signed up to this, my loved ones haven’t. This crown is heavier than it looks but I have a really supportive network of family and friends, who respected my wishes and walked with me through it all,” said Muthoni drummer queen during an interview with Nation, Sunday.
