One upcoming rapper Maandy who recently released her album ‘Kabaya’ who wants to also dominate the Kenyan rap game took shots at Femi One after she called out female rappers who didn’t represent hip hop as they were supposed to when she took a six months hip hop hiatus to do kapuka music where she dominated still by working with Kristoff on two hit records and Mejja where she dropped hit records. And just like that, Femi One proved to the world that she’s a versatile artiste who can’t be put in a one-genre-box.

What Maandy said on a nutshell is that Femi One is wrong this time saying that most female rappers have been putting in work like the rest of them(male rappers) with the difference being that most of them don’t get airplay as often as they should to help them be where they are supposed to be on their rap careers.

Here’s some quotable lyrics off ‘Punguza Pupa’ by Maandy where she goes ham on Femi One

kelele bila backing
ka kupilizia gunia
heri tuoshe kuku miguu
kuliko kukuskia
ngoma moja bila bars
flow ni ile ile tu
mean ahakuna kitu umechange
kutoka 2002
eti madame tunadoze
tumeshindwa na game
huna adabu ukibonga hivo
you should be ashamed
huna project hata moja
n you have been signed for years
media tours na mangoma
mediocre pia
we ni has been
no sauce
no flow
kua mpole mamii
ni mara ya mwisho ntakushow
we have n*ggas and presenters
tryna block our sh*t
producers who don’t wanna work
unless they first get to hit
halafu weh na akili zako zote
ukuje kututusi
fam!!
hebu evolve
