Africa by far has become one of the realest place to find some of the baddest rappers on the planet right now who can as easily rap in English, and switch it up as quick in their native languages without skipping the beat’s tempo and without you even noticing it. In short, Hip Hop is coming back to Africa if it hasn’t arrived yet.

It’s safe to say that most African countries are represented with a few rappers of their own out there making their countries proud while at it and one M.I Abaga recognized that a long time ago and there’s no way you can mention Africa’s greatest rappers without him being on the top 3 on that list.

African countries which are currently well represented in hip hop through talented rap artistes are South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya. If you want to listen to real, authentic real African hip hop, no trap, know rappers from the mentioned countries.

M.I Abaga unexpectadly came back with the sophomore Martell Cypher dubbed ‘Martell Cypher 2’ this time round featuring Blaqbonez, A-Q, Loose Kaynon and himself.

This cypher is hot and a banger! this is that one cypher that will make you feel proud to be an African because it makes African rap scene look competitive, untouchable without competition from anywhere.

African rap is taking over globally. It’s clear and evident that African hip hop is the serious hip hop thus far. You can’t argue with that, statistics are there to support this. For now though, let Martell Cypher 2 convince you.

M.I Abaga’s verse on the Martell Cypher 2 is one of the best verses you will get to listen to this year hands down, check out the quotable lyrics by M.I Abaga that puts all the African rappers on notice below

Given you parables quotables
plus I’m an animal only dudes notable to be standing so close to Jude are my homies and you know who!!!
so who really the best rappers in Africa?
Who been top of the charts but still giving lyrical massacre
I’ll put it like this as long as MI exists
I’m number one and y’all can figure out the rest of the list

3 rappers from SA
1 Kenyan rapper can step to me on their best day

I am a Pan-Afrikanist to the core and love to let the world know what they are missing in Africa. I might do that through music and some interesting posts from time to time so please bare with me.

I will always be real though, that's a guarantee.
