Kenyatta University student Victoria Muthoni Theuri reportedly died in her boyfriend’s house in Kahawa Wendani’s Alvo Apartments.
Victoria Muthoni Theuri, was a Public Policy and Administration student at KU.
Muthoni told her parents that she was visiting her sister on Christmas Day.
The parents home is located at Kahawa Sukari, which is close to Kahawa Wendani in Kiambu county.
When she failed to return home, her worried parents called the sister to find out if all was okay, only to be informed that she did not actually visit as said.
Her phone was off and her sister had not seen her on Christmas Day, police report says.
The parents reported that Muthoni was missing at Kahawa Sukari police station, when she did not get home on Boxing Day.
It now emerges that she would spend time at her boyfriend’s place at Alvo House in Wendani, the city of angels after attending classes at Kenyatta University before going home.
Neighbors at Alvo House noticed a foul smell in their apartments and they noticed the caretaker, who rushed to Kahawa Sukari police station to report.
Police arrived at the scene and broke down the door with the help of welders.
Victoria Muthoni Theuri’s body was at the house. The boyfriend reportedly was at his rural home and had left his girlfriend at his place on Christmas Day.
The boyfriend was arrested and is at Ruiru sub-county Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for interrogations.
Muthoni’s cause of death is yet to be known.
