Konshens finally embraced his Kenyan given name “Otieno”

Jamaican Dancehall artiste and songwriter Garfield Delano Spence popularly known as Konshens has finally accepted his Kenyan given name right after making a promise of coming back to the country in the next 2 or 3 years.

The ‘Gal A Bubble’ hitmaker who confessed that Kenya will forever hold a special place in his life took to Twitter to tell his multitude of tweeps that he has finally accepted the name given to him by Kenyans. He has embraced the name “Otieno” which went viral a couple of years ago when it found its way on social media.

A few years ago, Konshens had a mock Kenyan national identity card made for him that had the name Konshens Otieno on it. It has been going viral ever since.

This was not the first time Konshens was coming to Kenya for a show, the show was highly anticipated and one of the must-attended shows on New Year’s eve that was completely sold out at the Carnivore Grounds. Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones, Fena Gitu and Benzema also performed on the show.

Saying goodbye to Kenya and his loyal, energetic stans that he loves and noted that they’re his favorite fanbase in the world because of the positive vibes and vibrant energy, the Jamaican dancehall singer who is practically a “citizen” referred to himself as Konshens Otieno.
