Kipchumba Murkomen thwart claims of Ruto working with Raila for a possible alliance

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator and staunch UDA partisan Kipchumba Murkomen have finally made it clear once and for all about where Deputy President William Ruto and former Prime Minister and ODM party leader Raila Odinga stands.

The outspoken legislator has denied claims that have since made their way on mainstream news outlets about the Hustler Nation wanting to have talks with Raila Odinga for a possible alliance.

Murkomen believes their only worthy and legitimate competitor in the upcoming general elections in 2022 is none other than Raila Odinga.

Kipchumba Murkomen said this as he appeared on Citizen TV for an exclusive interview with them.

Murkomen said that if there were to be an alliance –which is not the case– then that would mean that Kenya would be a one-party State which can’t happen and solely because the Hustler Nation are rallying behind DP William Ruto’s presidency.

“Any politician who wants to be the President of Kenya would want support from anybody across the country. What I can confirm even if I may not be at the center of that decision making, we have never had and are not planning to have a conversation towards forming a political alliance with ODM and here is the reason; We in the hustler nation and who support William Ruto for president believe that the only credible competitor we have in the country is Raila Odinga.” Senator Murkomen said in part.

This comes after ODM Chairman John Mbadi denied any existence of talks between Raila Odinga and DP William Ruto that might lead to a possible alliance ahead of the 2022 Presidential elections.

“Any person imagining, we are going to form an alliance with the only available competitor would be imagining maybe Kenya wants to become a one-party state,” the former Senate Majority leader, Kipchumba Murkomen added.
