King Kaka, one of the successful, mainstream rappers in Africa today has been going through a lot in the past few months. In the past three months and so, the talented rapper has been literally fighting for his life without most of his fans knowing nothing about it because he didn’t share with his fans then until recently.

The father of three adorable kids opened up recently about the sudden loss of weight that you could easily see after he began sharing photos recently on social media.

His health had deteriorated tremendously shocking a lot of his stans everywhere.

It came to the public’s attention that King Kaka has been battling in the recent months after he was misdiagnosed and even had his hip drilled for a bone marrow sample.

King Kaka has really gone through some challenges in life that saw him battling for his life that helped him see life from a new perspective.

King Kaka is forever grateful to his mother, his wife, and his entire family and fans for being there with and for him during this trial period of his life helping him go through the day as seamlessly as they can manage.

His wife, Nana Owiti shared a never-seen video of King Kaka that showed how serious King Kaka’s health had taken a deep for a while.

“What you guys never got to see. I will never stop thanking God for taking us out of the lions’ den. I had never seen such darkness in a while. Every day I thought I had seen the worst, I saw the ‘worstest’ the next day.

I watched my husband constantly knock on death’s door but still wore God’s amour. Maybe he was knocking on the door so he could knock the devil off.

On the real, King Kaka put up a fight. He never gave up and if he ever did once, he never showed it. On this day, he just got super sick and we couldn’t get to the hospital because of traffic and so Dr. Stanley hopped onto a motorbike and met us on the way. God bless you Doc. Anyway guys,” she shared as she shared the video of King Kaka taking a drip through his veins inside a car.

The ‘Manifest’ song is based on and inspired by King Kaka’s near-death experience.

“That’s me, still can’t believe it. 2 days after I was admitted and they had just finished drilling on my hip bone for a bone marrow sample. I was in between worlds fighting to see my family once more. I would force my last smile when Nana & Moms visited but the truth is the nights got darker and I would be back in the ring with life.

It’s a feeling and place you can’t put in words

Nights when the devil threw in a few suggestions but the light got stronger for me to listen.

Not yet out of the woods but I’ve just realized that waking up is a Blessing, are you able to eat? that’s a blessing. You have a support system? That’s a blessing.

Very thankful to Dr. Adil, Dr. Stanley & Dr. Aggrey.

Very thankful to the amazing nurses Wanjiku, Vio, Chacha, Peter, and the rest.

Moms Asante, Nana you are a gem, Deno, Kenny, and my close friends. My bros and everyone who came to visit. All the fans who don’t know me personally but said a prayer.

One day I will tell the full story but as of now, I have summarized it in a song. I know we have different struggles; I hope that this song revamps the little hope and light left in you. You have a destiny and God has a plan for you,” King Kaka exclusively shared on social media when he shared a photo of himself being bedridden.

Soon after he began getting his health back, he released the ‘Manifest’ song in an effort of trying to resonate with some people who might have been going through the same situation he had gone through.

In case you missed it, watch the official music video for ‘Manifest’ as written and performed by King Kaka and Nviiri the Storyteller below:

Fans’ Response:

King Kaka disclosed via social media that the response has been positive and overwhelming to some extent because his DM has been floor by stories of people opening up about their personal lives and what they have been going through with some saying that they wouldn’t have found the strength to move on and/or open up were it not for King Kaka’s ‘Manifest’ song.

“The only problem with your song is that it makes me cry so much. I lost my firstborn a few days ago at delivery and I’ve been feeling like it’s the end. Like God ananitest and I’m failing the test. I’ve been in the hospital, seven days now due to high blood pressure and breathing problems. But I find myself coming back to the song because I am allowing myself to grieve. It is not well. But I hope one day it will be. Thank you for encouraging us with your recent testimony. may you heal completely as well,” one of the DMs sent out to King Kaka read.

King Kaka is glad and happy and content to have in a way or two connected with his fans through his music once again giving them hope of everything working out at the end of their trials and tribulations.

King Kaka’s love for his dear fans is outstanding and matches no one else’s, despite not completely healed, he got out of his comfort zone, wrote a song that connects him with his fans telling them that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel after all and he is the living proof of that.

He didn’t have to get in the studio and write that song, people would have cut him some slack because he is sick but because of his love for his fans and love of music, he decided that he wanted to speak to the people who were hurting and didn’t have someone to speak out for them and/or even console them in their loss.

King Kaka’s ‘Manifest’ song is way more than a song, it’s beyond it.
