King Kaka has opened up on battling for his health silently for the past few months, 3 months to be precise.

King Kaka also addressed the obvious change that his stans were asking themselves, some publicly, some in private, about his sudden massive weight loss.

Apparently, the ‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ hitmaker was sadly misdiagnosed and placed under medication that messed up his entire body which he reiterated that it’s perfectly okay because he isn’t in any pain whatsoever despite losing so much weight.

He lost 33 kgs, he used to wear waist size 36 but now he’s wearing 33 waist size.

The veteran rapper who has five studio albums disclosed that he hasn’t been eating for the longest time now, stating that he began eating a few weeks ago. He also announced his upcoming studio EP.

“Dear Fans, it’s only right that I share this with you. I have been sick for 3 months 8 days now. I was misdiagnosed. Lost 33kgs and in the process, we started hospital visits, did all the tests and they were Negative funny thing is I feel no pain and we are still hopeful that we will get the solution soon, my waist was 36 now it’s 33 Ata sina nguo, was consuming only uji and kidogo fruits, started eating food 3 weeks ago pole pole ntazoea and no taste for 2 months,” King Kaka shared in part on social media.

It’s only right for him to name the EP something that will resonate with him during this time and what he has been going through for the last 3 months.

“I have a new respect for God and life, the closest friends that knew Asante for always checking up. The doctor said instead of just sitting around I try doing what makes me happy. Thankfully I had recorded my EP and didn’t have a name for it but now I have every reason to call it Happy, ‘Happy Hour’,” he shared about his upcoming EP.

Just to stress how committed and dedicated he is, King Kaka has been constantly and consistently putting out new music every other time especially after his doctor advised him to continue doing what he loves doing the most and that’s writing, performing, and putting out new music, you’ll agree that is what he’s been doing this far.

Here’s what King Kaka shared in its entirety:

“Dear Fans, it’s only right that I share this with you. I have been sick for 3 months 8 days now. I was misdiagnosed. Thankfully I had recorded my EP and didn’t have a name for it but now I have every reason to call it Happy, ‘Happy Hour’. While I am in my final recovery stages I will show you some of the stories and how I got. I miss my kids, my wife @nanaowiti has been a great pillar through the 3 months, and my mom. What I need from you is just prayers nothing more.

I was born a winner, I just hope that I am alive for it.

(To those who have my number I may not pick at this moment but I am ok)”
