Daniella Atim, former wife of Ugandan artist Jose Chameleone, has embarked on a new journey in content creation, launching her own YouTube channel.

On her channel, Atim plans to delve into various aspects related to marriage, openly discussing the highs and lows of her relationship and marriage with Jose Chameleone until their eventual separation after 16 years together.

What caught many by surprise was her decision to title her program on the channel “Diary of a Retired Wife,” suggesting a reflection on life post-marriage.

In an introductory video, Atim expressed her intention to share her experiences so that other women can learn and feel empowered.

She criticized cultural norms that often silence women, even in matters concerning their own families, and aims to provide a platform to address taboo topics.

Atim emphasized that her experiences, including enduring 16 years of marriage with Jose Chameleone and raising their five children, are relatable to many women who may not have a voice.

She assured viewers that she would be transparent, discussing everything from how they met to the eventual end of their marriage.

In March, Atim took to Instagram to reveal that she had been living in the United States for five years, citing domestic violence as the primary reason for the dissolution of her marriage to the artist.

She recounted the painful events of her marriage and her decision to leave for the sake of her children’s safety and her own well-being.

Now residing in Minnesota with her children, Atim continues to navigate the challenges of single motherhood while striving to build a happier and more fulfilling life. Her YouTube channel serves as a platform to share her journey and inspire others facing similar struggles.
