Jose Chameleone’s wife Daniella Atim said dead people cannot read when asked why she did not mourn her late brother-in-law Humphrey Mayanja.

The late Humphrey Mayanja died after a prolonged battle with cancer and was buried last week.

The deceased’s health struggles came to light in July 2023, shortly after his arrival in the US from Uganda.

He underwent extensive surgery and was subsequently diagnosed with stage four colon cancer at the beginning of March 2023 as revealed by his father, Gerald Mayanja.

The family made the difficult decision to bring him back to Uganda to receive palliative care in familiar surroundings since his situation couldn’t improve.

Humphrey ultimately died on 30th March 2024.

He was laid to rest on April 3, 2024.

Jose Chameleone’s estranged wife Daniella Atim did not only give the burial a wide berth but also refused to mourn Humphrey’s death or express her condolence.

Curious netizens commenting on Daniella’s Instagram post inquired why she showed no empathy towards the deceased.

However, Chameleone’s estranged wife replied rudely saying that she was not aware if dead people could read messages.

“Don’t you know that the dead cannot read messages!” Daniella Atim responded a netizen.

Some people have speculated that unresolved issues and tensions between Daniella and her estranged husband Jose Chameleone led to her decision to stay away during the mourning period.
