Harmonize: Shoot me if I don’t compose a song this December in praise of marijuana

Weed smoker Harmonize has vowed to drop a song in praise of marijuana even though the move is likely to get him in trouble with Tanzanian authorities like it did in 2019.

In a post on social media, Harmonize revealed plans were in the pipeline for him to drop a weed song this December.

The singer even stressed that if he does not release the song this December he should be shot.

“This December if I don’t make a song about weed shoot me,” Harmonize wrote.

In 2019, Harmonize had a brush with Tanzanian authorities after posting on social media photos of him smoking bhang during a studio session in Ghana.

Harmonize was in Ghana alongside Nigerian singer Burna Boy recording the song ‘Kainama’ which also featured Diamond Platnumz.

Former Dar es Salaam regional commissioner Paul Makonda said that the singer would be investigated for the photos he shared while in Ghana.

“I have already spoken to my governor friend in Ghana and have asked him to order his police to investigate and find out if Harmonize smokes bhang or cigarette. If they find out it is is bhang he was smoking, then he will be arrested once he lands here,” Makonda said.

“The way you present yourself is the same way government will see you. You cannot be an artiste who represents Tanzania to the world and still misbehave,” he added.

After returning home from Ghana, Harmonize was forced to report to Dar es Salaam Central Police station to record a statement and clear his name.

In an earlier post he put on his Instagram account, Harmonize stated that he had never smoked bhang in his life but cigarette.

He has also deleted all pictures he posted smoking.
