Marcu Olang with Elani

Elani receives praises from one Marcus Olang that might just melt your heart

8 mins read

Elani who took somewhat a brief musical hiatus took quite a backlash the other day for not putting out music but putting out selfies by their fans on Instagram which they later came out publicly to address that issue and talked about their new single which was slotted to drop today off their sophomore album ‘Colours of Love’.

That being said, one Marcus Olang’ who is a fan of Elani and a communication strategist took his time to give props and praise to Elani for their wonderful music comeback and sharing a wonderful photo of them looking lovely and bright in their yellow apparel.

Oh my! Marcus went so deep so much so that I can’t actually nobody can’t surpass or paraphrase what he said about the talented trio. So what I can do is just let you read what he had to say about Elani and you decide how to control your emotions.

I’d like us to take a moment to talk about this picture here. Just a quick moment before you start / continue your day.

I mean, look at it.

Look at this picture.

Look at these beautiful human beings.

I look at this picture, and I see a magazine cover. I see one of those magazine covers that you shamelessly frame once the issue is published. A Vogue cover. Or O, The Oprah Magazine. With one of those catchy descriptors: “Elani: Becoming the light.” And in that article, they talk about what it’s been like; refusing to bow in the face of the tough times; the delightful beauty of the good times; what guides their music and the amount of work that goes into one single project… You know, all that stuff that leaves you with a new burst of energy, a renewed vigour for life. Feeling like you can face that mountain again and conquer it, one step at a time.

I mean, look at this picture.

This picture just looks like a statement in itself. It feels like a vision of people who know themselves. Who understand that they have a gift, and have chosen to walk their path confidently.

This picture looks like even the sun is taking style and shine notes from them. And let’s be honest: The sun lately feels like it needs a bit of inspiration itself. Well the, dear sun, see here. Look at this picture.

I mean, look at it.

They’re launching the first single off their new album with @adelleonyango and @shaffieweru on @kiss100kenya at 8am today. And video is out on YouTube immediately after that. And if you think this picture is something, wait till you see the video. Oh my goodness, this video… Personally, me I like this song. So much. And yes, I had to switch to Kenyanese for that bit.

I mean, just look. Look and see what The Lord has made. Amen? (Fun fact: Did you know the name ‘Elani’ means light? Yep, now you see what I did there. And a good morning to you too.) #COL #ColoursOfLove
