As an African child, Dax is very respectful to his African parents who were both born in Nigeria.

Though he wasn’t raised in Africa, Africa was raised inside him in Canada since both of his parents are Nigerians who are both Igbo but they can both speak rather fluently in the Yoruba language as well.

Dax real name Daniel Nwosu Jr. disclosed that his greatest moment in life, at least one of his greatest highlights and proudest moments in life is making his parents proud by finishing his education at the college level.

No matter where you were raised on earth or where you are, you will forever be an African child if your parents are African. They always make sure you don’t stray away from the deep roots that are genetically embedded within you. This was also the case for Dax.

He can speak fluent pidgin English if he needs to thanks to his upbringing, he can also understand Yoruba and Igbo.

Imagine Dax releasing an Afrobeats, Afrofusion, or high-life studio record! What an amazing imagination, I digress.

Dax took to social media to share a picture of himself together with his parents the day he made them proud. As an African child, you will and can make your African parent proud by completing your education, and more importantly, finishing your college studies. That is what Dax did, he finished college, I bet not a lot of people thought the internationally acclaimed rapper didn’t finish college, well, now you do know.

The ‘My Heart Hurts’ hitmaker also commended his parents for staying loyal and true to each other for 35 years telling his fans that his parents were not happy with his decision of making the decision to play basketball and later on make music but they allowed him because they knew the importance of allowing him to make his life decisions seeing how dedicated, focused and committed he was to his craft.

Thanks to his parents’ upbringing, he was able to put himself through college with a full basketball scholarship and now he’s doing music as an independent artiste which is felt throughout the world.

He plans to pay back his parents someday as any African child would when they become successful, that’s how each and every African child no matter where they are in the world always appreciates their parents, it’s not something that is taught but something that is deep within us.

This is what Dax had to say sharing a photo of himself together with his parents during his University graduation day.

“ALL LOVE goes to my parents today. They’ve now been together for 35 years. This was still the proudest moment of my life.

The day they saw me GRADUATE COLLEGE. They were both born in NIGERIA…🇳🇬 My mother was born in Aba and is IGBO and my Father was born in Lagos and is also IGBO but speaks YORUBA as well.

Anyone who has Nigerian parents or just African parents, in general, knows the expectation they have for their children is very high especially educational wise and occupational wise.

My parents were never happy with my initial decisions to play basketball and then make music but they also knew the importance of allowing me to take my life by force and create the future I wanted so they left me alone once they saw how focused I was and that I wasn’t going to quit.

In African culture it’s the child’s responsibility to repay their parents for bringing you into this world. We come in, they take care of us, and as they get older we take care of them. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

That’s one my BIGGEST motivations every day I wake up. What they gave me wasn’t a dollar amount and I’m happy and appreciate the struggle we went through growing up.

They set an example of how to work hard and expect nothing from anyone and I followed those footsteps and put myself through college with a full basketball scholarship and now am putting myself through the real world INDEPENDENTLY with music for the people spread by the people.

Thank you mom and dad for your sacrifices. I love you. And shoutout to all the parents in the world.” Dax shared on social media.

Dax commands a huge following from all major cities in Africa; you name them, he got the massive genuine love from Africa because he’s a son of the soil to the core.

I am a Pan-Afrikanist to the core and love to let the world know what they are missing in Africa. I might do that through music and some interesting posts from time to time so please bare with me.

I will always be real though, that's a guarantee.
