Former Mother-in-Law actress Catherine Kamau has revealed the reason why she refuses to attend social events where she doesn’t get paid.

In an interview with Mungai Eve, she said that her reason was not pride as thought by some people, revealing that spends more than Ksh100,000 on clothes alone that she wears when attending social events.

She talked about the recent premier of the Wakanda Forever event where her style of dressing got Kenyans talking.

“You have to dress according to your features, not just your body, find a stylist who understands you as a person and your features. I and my stylist get the style three days before the event,” she said.

She further disclosed that her preparation before attending an event starts with clothing, hair, makeup, shoes and even the payment of a dressmaker.

The mother of two noted that she always feels bad when people criticize celebs over their choice of fashion.

“I didn’t start from where I am now, it took me a while. Let’s give encouragement to famous people. However, you who attend the event, plan ahead, find a technician who understands you in advance to design something. Some things doesn’t have to be expensive to stand out,” she said.
