Black Sherif rebukes poverty on his ‘Second Sermon’ hit record

Black Sherif doesn’t want anything to do with poverty, something that he categorically stated on his latest banger ‘Second Sermon’ that got the whole country eating out of his palm.

The Ghanaian Stallion-produced song goes hard, the record is a fusion of trap, drill, and highlife.

Once you get to listen to Black Sherif rap, you would know, understand and believe that he was born to do this. He’s got the talent, the power of the pen, he’s got rhymes, metaphors and keeps it real in his song; telling it raw the way it is.

He caught the attention of netizens across the country with the first installation of the Sermons dubbed ‘First Sermon’, after releasing the song that currently has over 1 million views on YouTube alone, Black Sherif instantly became a household name.

He even impressed the Highest himself, Sarkodie was among the first celebrities to cosign Black Sherif on social media sharing a snippet of his latest offering ‘Second Sermon’ that’s currently doing well concurrently with his previous record.

Yaw Tog showed his support by being a part of the cameo for the ‘Second Sermon’ music video, he was even singing the powerful hook of the song.

The Konongo raised rapper has become someone whom a lot of Ghanaian youth resonates with because he tells his story as raw as they get becoming a threat to poverty, at least according to the majority of Ghanaians.

“This is me sending a message to my people at home [Konongo]. I also dedicated this one to my Angel, Sister Mariama (RIP).” Black Sherif alias Blacko opened up on the inspiration behind the song.

Blacko says that he mostly usually try to capture the day-to-day life of his friends on the streets and every other young people on the streets trying to make ends meet confessing that it took enough courage on his part to voice the tough life people usually go through.

“the day-to-day lifestyle of my boys on the streets. It took me so much courage to voice this out, but this is our truth. I don’t speak for only myself, I pray God blesses every young person on the street trying hard to make ends meet.” he said.

The ‘Second Sermon’ which is currently at the number 1 spot on YouTube trends that opens up on Bigg Homie Flee speaking on the track got netizens asking for more.


People just cannot seem to get enough of Black Sherif’s sermons that got us wondering if we should expect for ‘Sermon Three’ after the second sermon.
