Ben Cyco who is also a vlogger and a former member of a now defunct gospel group, Christ Cyco is back with a new release dubbed ‘New Song’ as written by himself and Brandon (Lafrik) as produced by the one and only talented Cedo.
The Groove Award-winning artiste brought out the Wanavokali to help me out with as back up vocalists which made the song even more interesting and a blessing to anyone who listens to the record and resonates with it.

Ben Cyco has clearly and evidently not lost his touch in writing and releasing new, quality music that blesses everybody who gets to listen to it.
“New song came at a time I was trying to pray to God for a complete 360 transformation in certain areas in my life and one of them was my sister’s healing. I’m also trusting God for growth to the next level in my music career as well and I hope that this is the introduction to the new song that I hope to sing even for my personal brand. Another prayer was for the gospel Industry restoration, and I hope that the song does well and restores the lost glory in our industry, those are the areas I wanted to sing a new song for.” – Ben Cyco said about his new song dubbed ‘New Song’.
As confessed by Ben Cyco, the music video shoot proved to be challenging but all the same worthwhile and thanks to talented Steve Mugo, he was able to pull through and made a perfect, powerful music video for ‘New Song’.
“This video shoot had a lot of things going South. The first concept was to be in Malindi, but the Rains complicated everything. Then now we had to come up with another concept which had a Ngong Hills scene. But on the shoot day we experienced a lot of delays and there was no time to go to Ngong hills so we had to hire equipments for a second Day. On the second day we get to Ngong Hills and the sun had already set, we can’t hire equipments again for the third Day, lakini @stevemugo_ ni Nani, he managed to still execute the shots perfectly with the little sunlight left and I think it turned out amazing 😅. ” Ben Cyco wrote on social media about how hectic shooting the music video for ‘New Song’ was.
Songs like ‘New Song’ are songs that will forever be timeless since the time you get to listen to it it will always seem as if you are listening to it for the very first time which is something not most records out there has the power to do.
