Akothee has opened up about the money she spends on her daughter’s upkeep. The mother of five reveals that she coughs up a whopping Ksh 200,000 per month to cater for her three girls.
Speaking during an interview on Hot 96, Akothee disclosed that the Ksh 200,000 does not include her girl’s school fees but rather just their upkeep alone.
The singer said she also gives her three daughters Ksh 20,000 each as their pocket money. She explained that she gives her girls the pocket money so that men could not trick them to sleep with time for money.
“I give my daughters KSh 20,000 per month for their pocket money. The reality here is I give my children pocket money because I do not want my kids to sleep with men because of money,” said Akothee.
The thought of her daughters sleeping with men for material things scares the living daylights out of Akothee. It’s for this reason that the mother of five is more than willing to spoil her daughter in every way she can afford.
Akothee herself didn’t have the luxuries of life when growing up, this is also why she is determined to give her daughters the type of life she didn’t have.
