Adelle Onyango doesn’t regret quitting her radio job

Adelle Onyango’s voice is iconic, and it will forever be, it’s not easy to forget and perfect for radio.

Adelle Onyango used to grace us with her voice for years together with Shaffie Weru at Kiss 100 FM for years before she made a choice and left her well-paying job as a radio presenter to do something that she’s in love with and what made her happy.

Adelle went on ahead to start her own podcast series dubbed ‘Legally Clueless’ a couple of months ago and she’s never looked back ever since, she’s happy, she just recently reached her 100th episode and the world looks promising from her chair.

The always vibrant, always smiling beautiful Adelle Onyango who has since conquered every adversary life has thrown her way deserves every win coming her way, every single bit of it.

Adelle Onyango opened up about not ever regretting leaving her radio job behind as she opened a new chapter of her life.

Adelle who also owns her own organization called The Adelle Onyango Initiative that creates programs that help equip African youth with skills needed for the job & business markets talked about how she had tried to fit in in her professional career for years without succeeding.

“I spent such a long time trying to fit in! Especially in my professional career.” Adelle Onyango said in part on her social media page.

“The first couple of years I was young, impressionable so I didn’t fully mind that I never fitted into the role traditional media has for personalities and female personalities at that.” she went on.

Adelle Onyango began to know that the radio environment wasn’t meant for her at all after having tried multiple times to force herself to fit in but it didn’t work because she ended up being very uncomfortable, she needed a breather.

“As I started regaining my consciousness it became clear that space wasn’t for me. I tried to force myself to fit but that just ended up being so UNCOMFORTABLE!” she explained.

At the end of the day, Adelle Onyango is happy and glad to have created a comfortable space for herself where she can express herself doing something that she loves in the process.

Adelle is team being you and appreciating self, she’ll probably forever be and that’s why the thriving African woman wants everybody to be themselves completely regardless of what other people will say because like they always say; people will always talk regardless of every and any moves you make in life.

“I am so [expletive] glad I decided to create a space for myself to do what comes so naturally to me – BE and allowing others to BE too.

I really am a thriving African woman because I legit took a chance on myself and came back home to me.” she continued.
