Saul “Canelo” Alvarez took on Amir Khan in the most heavily-anticipated fight of the year on Saturday night, and things panned out as most people expected, though it wasn’t short of entertainment.
Canelo was the favorite before the fight and he showed why in the sixth round with this brutal one-punch KO to Khan’s face. Khan had started well and was probably leading the fight going into the sixth round, but ultimately, Canelo’s power was simply too much for Khan, who was fighting at 155 pounds for the first time of his career.
