Deputy President William Ruto given a hero’s welcome in Kisii

Hundred of Kisii residents stopped everything they were doing, forgot everything about social distancing to welcome the second man in command, William Ruto.

The Deputy President who was accompanied by South Mugirango Member of Parliament, Sylvanus Osoro mingled with the Kisii residents despite the Health Ministry issuing caution of social distancing.

On Thursday, 10, 2020 morning prior to Ruto coming into the town, Kisii was filled with anti-Ruto protestors who blocked the roads in a bid to stop the Deputy President making his way into the town.

William Ruto supporters attempted the repulse the anti-Ruto protestors.

Normalcy was later on restored hours after police officers engaged the protesters and lobbed tear gas at them successfully dispersing them before the Deputy President made his way into Kisii town where he was welcomed with hundreds of supporters.

Hundreds of Deputy President, William Ruto supporters disregarded the social distancing directive to interact with the second man in power when he made his way into Kisii town.
