This collaboration; AKA, YoungstaCPT was long overdue, but you know what they say, good things usually takes time and right now seems to have been the right time for an epic collaboration of these two African hip hop giants.
The record dubbed ‘Main Ou’s’ comes after a successful release of AKA’s yet another explosive collaborative record featuring Riky Rick and DJ Tira dubbed ‘F.R.E.E’ off his upcoming yet-to-be named upcoming project.
The ‘Main Ou’s’ record lived up to its expectation since it officially dropped simultaneously together with the visuals and it is something that will forever be etched in our souls because of how unique the visuals of ‘Main Ou’s’ is.
AKA sings the hook of this epic collaboration record that’s already a classic using auto-tune like a boss!
Most of the music video as shot by Studio Space Pictures was shot in Johannesburg and Cape Town with YoungstaCPT’s verse shot in location at the headquarters of his own company Y?Gen in Wynberg while AKA’s verse getting shot at Bryanston.
Of course you know since YoungstaCPT was involved on this project, the community had to be a part of the music video since he is a man of the people, more like an African Nipsey Hussle.
This epic collaborative project has been in the making for a while now to an extent of AKA skipping the opportunity to watch his own roast back in March because he finally got to work with the legendary YoungstaCPT and was recording with him in the studio.
