Nigeria honors Jacob Zuma with a statue and a road named after him

Jacob Zuma statue in Nigeria, Imo State

On Saturday, President Jacob Zuma was honored in Nigeria’s Imo State with his giant statue erected in the city and a street named after him. Zuma has just concluded his visit to Zambia, Nigeria and the Democractic Republic of Congo to strengthen socio-economic relations and other co-operations among the countries.

The governor for Imo State Owelle Okorocha who also named a road after the president also confered the Imo Merit Award to President Zuma which is the highest award in the State.Β  As the chairperson of SADC, Zuma visited President Joseph Kabila Kabange on Sunday to discuss about the issues of peace and security in the DRC to achieve security and stability.
